(DE) The Staged Thunderstorm: Shareholder Activism as an Example of Campaign PR

I’m proud to announce that I will lead a workshop at the International Litigation-PR Conference 2019 in Winterthur (Switzerland). Together with my colleague Martin Jenewein, Senior Partner at SMJ Partners in Vienna.

About the workshop: The mechanisms of media logic are now not only used cleverly by bloggers and influencers. Investors, (minority) shareholders, capital market activists and investor protection lawyers are increasingly deliberately expanding their activities into the sphere of opinion markets with interests that at first glance appear opaque. In this workshop, we analyse why they do this, what objectives these actors can pursue, and provide some different examples of initiatives in different settings that serve as examples for modern – often confrontational – public relations work. We will show how we intervene from the perspective of litigation PR consultants when our clients perceive anti-religious PR campaigns and what tools can be used.

The workshop will be led by Martin Jenewein, Senior Partner at SMJ Partners and Uwe Wolff, CEO of NAÏMA Strategic Legal Services (SLS) GmbH. Please find more info at
